🥵 Spicy

Hey there, lovebirds!

So, I thought I had this whole “grief” thing down to a fine art. I mean, I’ve been the heartbreak whisperer for close to a decade! I’ve played the emotional chess game, rewired my patterns, mastered the tools… and, darling, I’m even cozying up in a healthy relationship. Sounds great, right?

But hold your horses, because life just threw me a plot twist I didn’t see coming. My father’s health is declining faster than my last relationship’s chances of survival, and let me tell you – this heartache? It’s a whole different ballgame.

If you’ve been following my journey, you probably know that my relationship with dear old dad has had more ups and downs than a rollercoaster at a theme park. He’s the reason I developed a knack for anxious attachment, always chasing love in all the wrong corners of this crazy world. But here’s the kicker – seeing him so frail, relying on me and my family, has zapped away that emotional electricity I was holding onto.

When I’m there, helping him take those precious steps or navigating the tangled mess of the medical system, all that past baggage fades away. It’s just me, in the moment, fiercely determined to help him live as long and as comfortably as possible. And let me tell you, it’s both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once.

As my heart aches, there’s this wild expansion of love flowing through me. I’m feeling everything right now – and that means the lows are pretty low, but oh honey, the highs? They’re gorgeous! I’m finding joy in the tiniest details, like the way a tree dances in the wind or losing myself in a sunset so beautiful it practically steals your breath.

What I’ve learned from all my heartbreak training is simple: grief is nothing to shy away from. It keeps you humble, roots you in reality, and opens up your emotional world like a flower in spring. And guess what? I can feel myself changing and growing, and while I’m not sure where this wild journey is headed, I’ve got a strong feeling it’s going to be something significant.

So, what’s next for me, you ask? Drumroll, please! I’m throwing the last Breakup Bootcamp of the year this November. And yes, it’s the last one for a little while, because your girl needs some time to write and figure out what spicy goodness I want to share with the world next.

With all my love and a cheeky wink,

Amy
