Alien: Earth” includes a surprising crossover with “White Lotus.

The White Lotus Season 3 isn’t the only notable production filming in Thailand in 2025. Noah Hawley’s Alien prequel, Alien: Earth, has also chosen this beautiful country as its backdrop, with a setting in a futuristic version now referred to as New Siam. Interestingly, both series share a talented star, as an actor from The White Lotus Season 3 makes an appearance in Alien: Earth.

In the inaugural episode of Alien: Earth, Tayme Thapthimthong, known for portraying Gaitok the security guard in the third season of The White Lotus, makes a brief yet unforgettable impression. He takes on the role of Anant, a member of a search and rescue team that is dispatched to assist survivors of the USCSS Maginot’s crash in Prodigy City.

However, Anant faces a grim fate, as this is an Alien narrative. Unfortunately, most individuals who venture into the wreckage of the crashed spaceship do not escape unscathed. They become prey for the Xenomorph that now roams the site, as well as for four new alien species that were part of the Maginot’s cargo.

Sadly for Anant, he becomes one of the early victims of a menacing new tick-like alien. This creature burrows into his flesh and drains his life, transforming him into a grotesque sight. What an intriguing introduction to the franchise for this new entity! While Thapthimthong won’t be returning to Alien: Earth—given his character’s fate—he joins a legacy of actors who have met similarly spectacular ends at the hands of the franchise’s terrifying extraterrestrials. This includes iconic moments with John Hurt from Alien or Isabela Merced from Alien: Romulus, who faced horrific encounters.

With the door open for potential crossovers between Alien: Earth and The White Lotus, one can’t help but wonder which character from the series could stand up against the alien threats. One intriguing choice would be Parker Posey’s Victoria Ratliff. While it’s hard to imagine her channeling the fierce essence of Ripley, it would be delightful to hear her captivating Southern drawl tackle Ripley’s iconic line, “Get away from her, you bitch.”

New episodes of Alien: Earth grace our screens every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Hulu and FX.
