ARTEMIS: Intimate Concert at the Tiny Desk
Yes, ARTEMIS draws inspiration from a Greek goddess, embodying a sense of empowerment and unity. This jazz supergroup radiates their talent throughout their Tiny Desk performance, creating an atmosphere of serenity and joy. The ensemble features the diverse voices of pianist Renee Rosnes, drummer and Tiny Desk alum Allison Miller, bassist Noriko Ueda, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, and tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover—all remarkable bandleaders in their own right.
In this performance, the quintet shares three original pieces from their latest album, ARBORESQUE. The set begins with “Olive Branch,” a heartfelt composition by musical director Rosnes.
