As a producer, BAMBII’s vibrant club sounds intertwine beautifully with her long-standing celebration, JERK: a warm and welcoming space that honors her Caribbean-Bajan roots. Nestled in the lively city of Toronto, known for its vibrant multicultural carnival atmosphere, JERK fosters a sense of community through the rich sounds of the Caribbean tradition. Since 2013, it has become a sanctuary where diverse genres such as jungle, techno, reggaeton, and dancehall come together, often accompanied by the delightful aroma of jerk chicken prepared lovingly by BAMBII for her guests.

“To me, everything in Toronto is enriched by the Caribbean influence, from music and slang to the very essence of creativity,” BAMBII (aka Kirsten Azan) shared in an interview with The Fader in 2023. With her journey as a producer ignited by the passionate dancehall track “NITEVISION,” featuring the legendary Pamuttae, BAMBII continues to uphold the vibrant spirit of JERK through her illustrious musical explorations. Her latest work, the 2023 EP INFINITY CLUB, garnered the 2024 JUNO Award for Electronic Album of the Year, affirming her impact in the realm of music.

BAMBII’s new album, INFINITY CLUB II, is a heartfelt reflection inspired by her transformative trip to Jamaica in 2023. The album is a beautiful tapestry of sounds, seamlessly fusing elements of hyperpop, dancehall, and other diverse influences. With tracks like “Thunder” and “BAD BOY,” she takes listeners on an exhilarating sonic journey, while maintaining a playful spirit with pop infusions.

The opening track “Remember” gracefully highlights this duality, transitioning from enticing alt-R&B to dynamic beats and thoughtful lyrics. Similarly, “Blue Sky” embodies multiple facets, weaving together pop-rap and deep, resonant bass in a stunning display. Here, the collective energy of the album shines through, inviting the listener to engage with its community spirit. In “Mirror,” BAMBII intertwines shimmering melodies with contributions from Jessy Lanza and the unique flow of Yaejii, showcasing her growth as an artist.
