Boozy Oasis supporters break Wembley Stadium record by consuming a remarkable number of pints.

Oasis Fans Make History at Wembley Stadium

Oasis fans are once again creating a memorable moment at Wembley, but this time, the spotlight is on their impressive beverage consumption. Recent data from Delaware North, the catering operator at Wembley Stadium, reveals that fans have been enjoying over a quarter of a million pints of beer each night during the band’s celebrated shows.

That’s right—an astounding 250,000 pints poured every evening as the Gallagher brothers enchant the crowd with what many describe as ‘a spiritual experience.’ With three out of seven of their Wembley performances already behind us, and two more scheduled this weekend (Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3), these figures are sure to rise, especially with two final dates in September on the horizon.

For context, during their 2024 run, Coldplay fans purchased an average of 120,000 pints per show, while Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour brought in approximately 40,000 pints each night. Oasis fans have not only matched Coldplay’s numbers but have also outperformed Swifties by more than six times.

A Record-Breaking Experience

The Oasis reunion tour has indeed been a tremendous success, with an average of three pints enjoyed per attendee in a crowd of around 80,000. Given that pint prices at Wembley are £8.20, this wonderfully translates to a remarkable £2.05 million in beer sales each night. It’s worth noting that many fans choose wine, soft drinks, or decide not to drink at all, which suggests the actual number of beer drinkers could be higher.

The preparations behind the scenes are equally impressive. Each Oasis show requires approximately 4,500 kegs to be transported to and from the stadium, leading to what has been humorously described as a ‘turf war’ among vendors.

Surging Enthusiasm Surrounding Concerts

With space for cold storage dwindling, staff have been creatively storing kegs in various nooks, prompting some challenges for cleaning and maintenance teams. The excitement extends beyond the stadium, as local pubs have seen a boost in sales with fans gathering before and after the shows.

While some may raise concerns about drinking at concerts, many view this phenomenon as a reflection of the vibrant social energy that Oasis inspires. Friends reconnect and reminisce about their youthful days, celebrating together in a way that feels both nostalgic and joyful. After all, this is a band whose lyrics honor themes of celebration and camaraderie—qualities echoing through their devoted fanbase.
