This speculation has been around for some time, but recently, convincing-looking screenshots leaked from the backend of developer Virtuos Studios’ website early Tuesday morning. While some of these images have made their way onto platforms like Reddit and social media, it seems that much of the Virtuos website was restricted shortly after the leak, as numerous links now lead to 404 error pages.

For context, Virtuos is a Singapore-based studio known for providing extensive support for both original games and porting older titles to new hardware. In essence, an Oblivion remake aligns perfectly with the kind of projects Virtuos typically undertakes. The most intriguing aspect is that this remake could be released very soon. Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb, recognized for his accurate insights in this realm, mentioned on his GameBreaking News podcast that the game could be shadow-dropping during the week of April 21. Therefore, this remake might not only be real but could also be available for players in the near future.
