Franz Ferdinand’s new album invites us to explore some of our most vulnerable emotions. Frontman Alex Kapranos gently reflects, “People often shy away from acknowledging their fear. Yet, Bob [Hardy] and I discovered that fear can be one of life’s most exhilarating experiences once we learn to overcome it.” Bassist Hardy adds that the songs on *The Human Fear* serve as a gentle reminder. “Living without facing some fears can lead to a rather uneventful existence. Are we truly embracing life?”

In this calming session, the Glaswegian rock band shares insights about their new album. Hardy discusses his evolving motivations within the band, moving from amusement to a deeper sense of craftsmanship. Kapranos also shares a glimpse into his Greek heritage, which is beautifully woven into their track “Black Eyelashes.”
