As xAI seeks to expand its user base, it appears to be attracting users who may be feeling less satisfied with ChatGPT, particularly following the launch of OpenAI’s GPT-5. Many users have expressed their observations on platforms like Reddit, noting that GPT-5 feels less humanlike and is more cautious in its interactions. In response to feedback, OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, announced a re-release of the previous model, GPT-4o, creating space for other AI companies to offer less restrained alternatives.
Early tests of Grok 4, which debuted on July 9, showcased its impressive capabilities, even outpacing competitors like DeepSeek and Claude. However, the model’s less restrictive approach raises potential safety considerations for users. A recent investigation revealed that xAI’s generative AI image tool, Grok Imagine, did not meet standard safety benchmarks, raising concerns about the creation of inappropriate content.
How to access Grok 4 for free

While in Auto mode, the chatbot will determine whether a prompt warrants the elaborate responses of Grok 4 or the swift feedback of Grok 3. Moreover, the company plans to enhance its usage limits to support this new model. Additional details regarding free tiers for Grok 4 will be shared soon.
