Grok has gained the ability to remember.

Grok, the AI assistant from Elon Musk’s X, has introduced a memory functionality. According to the official account on X, Grok can now retain previous conversations, which allows it to offer more personalized responses based on stored information. For instance, in an example shared on Twitter, a user requests a workout plan and receives a response that considers their past experience and interests in fitness activities.

You can view the memories that Grok has referenced by clicking the “Referenced Cards” icon under a response, and you also have the option to erase some of them if you wish.

Grok’s memory feature is currently in beta and is available on iOS and Android, though it is not yet accessible in the EU or the UK. The company has indicated that this feature will be expanded to Grok on X “soon.”

The memory function bears resemblance to a recently introduced feature in other AI assistants that allows them to reference past interactions for more personalized responses. Additionally, other platforms have implemented similar capabilities in their offerings.
