Indie88’s Socks for the Streets Initiative in Partnership with Socks 4 Souls Canada

Mobility is essential for everyone, and it’s particularly important for those facing homelessness. Good foot health can greatly enhance access to food, shelter, and medical care. A simple pair of clean, dry socks can be a meaningful first step towards improving lives.

Indie88’s Socks 4 the Streets initiative, in partnership with Socks 4 Souls Canada, strives to support our community. With over 85,000 individuals in Ontario experiencing homelessness, your kindness is more important now than ever. Let’s come together to reach our goal of collecting 50,000 pairs of socks!

We invite you to join us on Saturday, December 20th, from 10 AM to 6 PM at Dufferin Mall, near Walmart. Together, we will broadcast live while gathering donations, fostering a communal spirit of giving.

How can you participate in this uplifting holiday mission?

• Text SOCKS to 20222 to make a $10 donation now, spreading warmth to those in need.
• DONATE NEW SOCKS (black or white athletic are preferred). Bring your socks to our broadcast or visit your local Kitchen Stuff Plus to drop off your donations.

Socks 4 Souls Canada is a primarily volunteer-based organization devoted to providing warmth, comfort, and mobility through the distribution of new socks to those who need them most. On any given night, over 10,000 individuals in the Greater Toronto Area experience homelessness, with nearly 20% facing medical issues related to inadequate foot care. This can significantly affect their access to vital resources. Socks 4 Souls Canada relies on the generosity of donors from various sectors and distributes both sock and monetary contributions to agencies that directly support those experiencing homelessness throughout southwestern Ontario.
