Jon Stewart delivers a sharp 15-minute monologue in response to Stephen Colbert’s cancellation.

Jon Stewart devoted a considerable portion of his monologue on Monday to expressing his thoughts on CBS, the network that shares ownership with Hotnchill. His focus centered on the network’s recent decision to cancel The Late Show for “financial reasons,” shortly after host Stephen Colbert highlighted concerns about a substantial payment made to President Trump.

In the video above, Stewart passionately shares his sentiments on the cancellation and the potential motivations behind it. He emphasizes the significance of the proposed $8 billion merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media, which would require approval from the Trump administration to proceed.

“Look, I understand the corporate apprehensions. I recognize the concern that you and your advertisers have, given that $8 billion is at stake. But it’s vital to acknowledge this: A meaningful portion of that $8 billion value originated from the very shows you’re attempting to cancel, censor, and control. Those shows contributed to your success,” Stewart remarked. “If you think that as corporations or networks you can make yourselves so bland that you attract no attention and remain off the radar of those in power, A) Why would anyone tune in?, and B) You’re mistaken.”
