Leaked footage claims to reveal the new Lenovo Legion Go 2 handheld featuring an OLED screen.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has arrived, and Microsoft’s Asus-powered handheld gaming PCs are on the way. Excitingly, another contender in the handheld PC market may be making its debut shortly.
In a video shared on YouTube by user “in yo,” you can enjoy around 20 minutes of what seems to be a fitting follow-up to 2023’s Lenovo Legion Go. The device featured in the video appears to be a prototype of the Legion Go 2, giving us a glimpse into what we might expect at its possible launch in September.
For starters, the Switch-like detachable controllers—an innovation in the Legion Go series—look even more comfortable this time. The new device is also equipped with an OLED display, boasting impressive specs such as a 1200p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, setting a high standard for handheld PCs.
There remains much to discover, as the insights from the leaked hands-on video of this alleged prototype are limited. We still await clarity on the exact launch date and price of the Legion Go 2; however, it’s reasonable to anticipate a cost above $500 considering the quality of the display. (The upcoming MSI Claw A8 handheld is rumored to exceed $1,100.) Additionally, the power of the Legion Go 2 remains somewhat uncertain. Windows Central suggests it may sit between the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X and the more modest ROG Xbox Ally. It’s also possible that various versions of the Legion Go 2 will offer different performance levels.
Regardless, the handheld gaming landscape is certainly expanding!
