The Assistance You Need: Personalized Guidance for Living with Less

For the past 15 years, this website has embraced a simple yet profound mission: to inspire individuals on their journey to own less and live more fully.

In whatever way it has connected with you, I hope it has offered warmth and guidance as you seek a balanced life.

Initially, this blog served as the sole resource I shared, filled with articles published three times a week, open to anyone who chose to subscribe by email. (That option is still available for those who wish to join.)

As time went on, I realized that a collection of singular articles has its own limitations. It can feel like a flowing stream of thoughts, with topics presented without a clear order, arising from my personal reflections and experiences.

While the articles remain valuable, the volume has grown to nearly 1,000 posts, making it a challenge sometimes to find specific guidance. In response to the growing inquiries about particular topics, I discovered that many insightful pieces were nestled within the Archives, waiting to be rediscovered.

In 2016, I took a step forward by publishing The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own. This book articulates a heartfelt message about how owning less can pave the way for pursuing larger and more fulfilling dreams.

It was my hope that it would inspire many to embrace a fresh approach to life. With over 100,000 copies sold, it seems that my intention has touched many hearts.

As I connected with readers, I noticed a common sentiment; while many were introduced to the principles of minimalism, they found it challenging to integrate these ideas into their daily lives.

To address this need, nine years ago, I introduced The Uncluttered Course, a nurturing space designed to provide structure, accountability, and support. It includes weekly challenges and fosters a community where participants can ask questions and feel truly heard.

This course has made a meaningful impact on countless lives, with heartfelt messages from individuals sharing how their experiences in the course have transformed their lives in profound ways.

Each time I respond, I emphasize: “I may have provided inspiration and structure—but it is you who has done the courageous work.”

A few years ago, in 2023, I took a moment to reflect and asked myself: What more can I do to support individuals in their journey of owning less?

I envisioned a complete path someone might travel—from being introduced to minimalism, decluttering their living space, to building sustainable habits that nurture a clutter-free life, and eventually inviting others to share in these benefits.

Regardless of where one may be on that journey, my intention is to assist in taking the next step toward serenity.

This led to a realization: while I cherish this blog, the books, and the online course, I recognized that some individuals yearn for a more personalized touch on their journey.

They may wish for companionship in the process. The desire for tangible support, in their own homes, is a common one.

Sometimes they feel stuck, at times they seek personal encouragement, and on occasion, they simply find themselves too busy to embark on this journey alone.

Unfortunately, many organizers focus on sorting what we own rather than assisting in the important practice of letting go of what no longer serves us. It’s essential to clarify that the aim is not just better organization—it’s about embracing a life with less.

The world is in need of more Professional Declutterers.

For the past two years, I have been training both dedicated professionals and passionate individuals in my gentle approach to decluttering and minimalism.

During our tailored professional training sessions, I work closely with participants, sharing effective techniques that have helped numerous souls embrace a life of less.

As of today, nearly 100 individuals have completed this training, spanning across the globe, ready to support you in your space—either in person or virtually—guiding you step-by-step through your decluttering process.

If you seek personal guidance to help you gently release clutter, there are those available, eager to assist you. Their contact information is readily accessible for anyone feeling called to reach out.

Of course, individualized support may involve a greater investment than a book or a course tailored for a broader audience. Yet if you find yourself at a standstill, this investment could be fundamentally transformative for your home, your peace of mind, your time, and your entire life.

I receive no commission from their services.

Each of these professionals carries my full recommendation. Having personally trained them, I am confident in their understanding of my methods. I trust they can guide you on your journey.

If you feel inspired to seek help, I encourage you to reach out. The benefits of owning less truly are worth exploring.

PS: If you are a professional organizer—or simply someone passionate about helping others embrace a life of less—I would be delighted to mentor you. I offer this training three times a year.
