Seth Meyers mocks Trump’s utterly absurd press conference regarding crime in Washington, D.C.
Another day, another Donald Trump press conference that made little to no sense. During Monday night’s episode of Late Night, Seth Meyers thoughtfully examined the president’s recent conference on crime in Washington D.C., where Trump presented various statistics that were quickly fact-checked by CNN. “We’ve had presidents who’ve misrepresented facts before, but we’ve never experienced a president who is so easily fact-checked,” Meyers reflects. “But who are you going to believe? The detail-oriented analysts at CNN, or the individual who claims we can reduce drug prices by 1500 percent?”
Trump then proceeded to hold up a random chart and introduced it by saying, “These are different cities throughout the world…red is…OK?”
“Is this his new catchphrase now? He’s simply displaying a chart and saying ‘OK’?” Meyers muses. “He’s like a whimsical magician who doesn’t make you pick a card; rather, he just holds one up and acts as if that’s the trick. ‘You kids enjoy magic? Watch this. Jack of Diamonds…OK?'”
