‘Street Fighter’ trailer delivers excitement featuring Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li
Street Fighter’s trailer gently introduces us to the remarkable cast of elite warriors from Capcom’s beloved video game franchise. Set in 1993 and directed by Kitao Sakurai, the upcoming action film revolves around Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo). Once close friends, their paths have diverged, but destiny calls when Chun-Li (Callina Liang) brings them together for the World Warrior Tournament—an adrenaline-fueled series of battles that conceals a deeper conspiracy.
As this trio journeys to unveil hidden truths, they’ll engage with some of Street Fighter’s most iconic adversaries, including M. Bison (David Dastmalchian), Balrog (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson), and Akuma (Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i). The trailer beautifully highlights these fighters, showcasing impressive body slams from Zangief (Olivier Richters) and the ethereal moves of Dhalsim (Vidyut Jammwal). Fans of the franchise will notice delightful nods, such as a comment celebrating Chun-Li’s remarkable strength.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a true Street Fighter experience without the iconic Hadouken, which Ryu launches with flair toward the end of the trailer. To witness this and additional exhilarating moments, explore the full video featured above. Street Fighter is set to grace theaters on October 16.
