Sneak Peek of the Summer ’25 Album: A Look at Every Track
Relax and Discover: New Music for a Beautiful Summer
As summer unfolds, a gentle wave of creativity washes over us, bringing with it the soothing sounds of Wet Leg’s much-anticipated album, moisturizer. This calming release invites us to take a deep breath and appreciate the artistry blooming around us.
While it’s common for artists to embrace a slower pace during the warmer months, keeping their most cherished works for the transition into autumn, this season graces us with delightful sounds. In addition to Wet Leg’s new melodies, we’re welcomed back by the beloved indie rock group Superchunk, alongside reflective tunes from Big Thief, and other comforting offerings. One can also find joy in Lorde’s Virgin, Laufey’s A Matter of Time, and The Swell Season’s first new album in over 15 years—a reminder of the beauty of music that endures through time.
This week, we’re taking a serene moment to highlight some of the albums that uplift our spirits, accompanied by insightful conversations from WNXP’s Celia Gregory, NPR Music editor Sheldon Pearce, and our gracious host Robin Hilton.
